Built around 1867, the building was a water mill that once produced olive oil and soap. In 2016, it was taken down to four outer walls, renovated and refurbished. The plumbing, electricity and roof were completely repaired, and the garden was improved. The former olive mill consists of 3 floors:
- Ground floor: 18 double beds in common rooms, 3 showers, 3 washbasins, 3 toilets, a kitchen capable of catering for groups of more than 100 people, a rest room of 100 m² with a fireplace.
- First floor: 4 separate rooms with bathrooms, rooms for storing tools and laundry, common room of 30 m².
- Top floor: 3 rooms with showers, bathroom with jacuzzi and toilet, kitchen, technical room, balcony.
The garden has a small pool, a shaded terrace, a fireplace, a pizza oven, a roasting and grill area, a large terrace for 40 people, a waterfall, a chicken coop, 4 orange trees, 2 lemon trees, climbing vines, grapes, nectarine and other fruit trees. Access to the river for swimming and rowing in 3 places. There is a pump that uses river water to fill the pool and water the garden.
The staff live on the top floor, which can be separated from the rest of the building and has a separate entrance. The owners also live here during the off-season. The hotel can comfortably accommodate over 40 people and has been welcoming guests and tourists since 2017.
The building is located in the Podgrad river valley, in the Old Bar area. Hiking trails lead to ancient olive groves and beautiful stone bridges. The mountains rise above, and from the garden you can see the Old Bar fortress. There is a small shop 300 meters away, while Stari Bar's restaurants and cafés can be reached in 8 minutes on foot along old paths or winding roads. The town of Bar and the beaches are 4 km/8 minutes away.
