The city has a traditional Dalmatian atmosphere with stone houses, stone-paved streets, a small fishing harbor, beautiful pebbly beaches and a beautiful walk along the coastline. Sumartin is very well connected to the mainland on a frequent direct ferry line to Makarska and back.
