The most significant sights of this area are the historical findings that give a special kind of flair to Barbariga. Here you can find the remains of an ancient building, the St. Andrew basilica with some sarcophaguses from the 8th century. The gravestone of Titus Cornelius was found here. That is a kind of proof that this area had machinery that treated wool and oil. The oil was gained with traditional methods. In the Antiques this area had a lot of machineries that did this kind of treatments. In that same time the little bay Marić had a significant role. It was the main port for transporting oil from the ancient Barbariga.
