Platres is one of the oldest villages in Cyprus in the Limassol region. It is mentioned in the chronicles of the reign of the Lusignan dynasty in Cyprus from 1192 to 1489.
Numerous tourist routes start from Platres, including the Caledonia and Milomeris waterfalls.
