A very family orientated town that has led to Morzine becoming an increasingly popular destination for families with children of all ages all year round.
Property prices here are increasing, but they remain one of the lowest prices per m² in comparison to other ski areas within the same vicinity of Geneva. If you were thinking of renting for part of the year then Morzine has an excellent rental market.
Whilst winters at present offer the best rental return period, the summers are becoming increasingly busy too.
Currently in Morzine there are around 3000 residents, 60 hotels, 47 restaurants, 20 ski shops, a language school and many bars.
Money continues to be invested into the infrastructure and recently the new indoor pool complex opened which is open throughout the year.
The Portes du Soleil area has over 650 km of marked piste with plenty of off-piste skiing too across two countries, France and Switzerland.
Within the Porte du Soleil, Morzine has established itself as the leading resort, geographically located in the middle allowing ease of access to the entire ski area of the Porte du Soleil.
