Roquebrune-Cap-Martin — Luxurious retreat in the French Riviera
- Total area420 m²
- Bedrooms7
The origin of the name of the property — L'Aumônerie — means the Alms House: a place where gifts were received to help those in need. Originally linked with the church, parts of the house date back almost a thousand years. Over the centuries, the house and garden has grown and changed with many alterations and additions. The previous owners were a famous decorator and a Vogue fashion photographer: Raymond Poteau and Henry Clarke. Much of the current design is either original or based on their guiding principals. Raymond and Henry were very social and through Henry's photography many famous people visited the house and gardens. One, Princesse Grace, once called the garden her favorite on the coast. A magical house unlike any other on the Riviera. Villa's retreat can be used as a seasonal rental or as an event’s venue. It can accommodate up to 13 guests for seasonal rent and up to 50 or more for events. The house is very independent. Each floor has its own front door, kitchen and bathroom.
