There are two ways to buy an apartment:
- purchase as a holiday home without renting;
- purchase as a holiday home with seasonal rental.
When buying apartments using the first option — there is no obligation to rent and the owner can use the apartment at any time of the year.
When buying apartments using the second option — the owners have the right to use their apartment up to 6 months a year. There is a possibility to return VAT at 20% of the value of the property.
In 2021 the Alpe d'Huez and Les Duex Alpes ski areas will be connected via an 18-minute cable car, creating the third largest ski domain in France.
