The Black Sea coastline is one of the most popular holidays and entertainment areas in Adjara. The subtropical climate, the warm sea, well-maintained beaches and a combination of sea and highlands create a unique holiday environment.
The Black Sea coastline in Adjara is 21 km long, while water temperatures range between 21° and 29°. Although the water in the Black Sea is certainly not black, it has been referred to by this name since ancient times by various peoples. It is not clear when and how the sea got its name. The Black Sea coastline is an integral part of the Adjara resort zone, which includes Kobuleti, Tsikhisdziri, Chakvi, Mtsvane Kontskhi, Batumi, Gonio, Kvariati and Sarpi. These locations will leave a long-lasting impression on visitors. The splendid pine forest situated on the coastline, the pebbles on the beaches, the well-developed infrastructure of Batumi Boulevard and the broad range of entertainment facilities offer many possibilities for holidaymakers to enjoy their visit here.
