About the island
The 40,000 sq. m. large island is located in the Brückentinsee nature reserve, 3 km from the nearest settlement, surrounded by dense forests. On a 700m long circular route, the island can be explored.
The island recently won an impressive 7th place (even ahead of the famous Helgoland) in a ranking by zehn. de of Germany’s 10 most beautiful islands.
In order to protect the peace and tranquility of the island, the island can be driven by car only by hotel guests, for all others there is a parking space about 200 meters before the bridge.
About the hotel
There are a small fine hotel with good food and an exclusive wine cellar, as well as two bungalows.
Currently, the existing buildings are leased as a hotel (term until end of 2021, a lease-free transfer is may be possible). The property is offered for use as a hotel operation. A future change of use depends on the request of the purchaser in coordination with the authorities.
Opened in 1993, the hotel comprises a main building as well as a 400 square meter jetty with two bungalows with private boat garage and a Finnish log sauna, which visiting is also recommended because of the gorgeous lake view.
The main building consists of a cozy restaurant serving regional cuisine and 30 seats, and a technically well-equipped conference room for 20 people. Guests can relax completely comfortable in five suites, two double, and three single rooms. The rooms and suites are furnished with high-quality solid wood furniture in country house style and invite you to linger.
This quiet little island is located just 2 hours north of Berlin. The best way to reach it is via the B96. Between the towns of Neustrelitz and Fürstenberg, turn towards Godendorf/ Dabelow, and after about 10 minutes you can reach the lake and the island via a pier.

The lake
Its extensive area (1,3 mln m²) is divided by a large elevation in a northeast basin with a maximum depth of 29.4 meters and a 20 meter deep southwest basin.
This is a paradise for nature lovers. The shore of the lake is untouched and abundant in reeds. There are two bathing areas with spacious lawns and an overbuilt jetty for rowing boats, which can be rented by hotel guests. The abundance of fish is highly valued by anglers, while bathers and divers appreciate the clear water and the stunning views.
