Garmisch-Partenkirchen, one of the country's best ski resorts, is located at the foot of the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany.
Lovers of skiing and snowboarding will enjoy a variety of alpine slopes in the vicinity of the city. If you want to roll down the Zugspitze glacier, climb to the top of the mountain by train, and then use a cable car to go down one of the slopes. The top of the mountain offers a magnificent view of the surrounding valley.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen was the capital of the Winter Olympic Games and hosted the World Cup in Alpine skiing. It has a springboard, which runs one of the stages of the World Cup in ski jumping. The most popular form of outdoor activities in the summer — hiking. One of the routes leads to a small Royal house on Schachen (Schachenhaus).
The house is located in the city center, in close proximity to all amenities and public transport stops.
