From the early nineteenth century onwards, Dahlem established itself as one of Berlin’s most noble neighbourhoods. Numerous famous residents made this jewel in Berlin’s crown their home, including Hildegard Knef and Zarah Leander, helping to raise the prestige of this splendid residential neighbourhood even further. Extensive parkland and verdant open spaces make this such a treasured part of Berlin. The new residential development’s immediate neighbours include the Thielpark and the Botanical Gardens. Three of Berlin’s most beautiful lakes are also within easy reach: Krumme Lanke, Grunewaldsee and Schlachtensee.
This is where Berliner’s head to for respite from the hustle and bustle of big city life. Dahlem is also a beloved sport and recreation destination for all age groups. The local infrastructure is excellent, with the broad selection of shops at Truman Plaza just a short walk away. Doctors, schools and children’s daycare facilities are all also located in the immediate vicinity. The local subway station provides quick and convenient access to downtown Berlin.
