Friedrichshain is an administrative district of Berlin within the district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Before the administrative reform carried out in Berlin in 2001, it was an independent administrative district. In the north of the district is the city park Friedrichshain, which gave the name of the area, which stretches south to the coast of Spree.
Friedrichshain is an amazing mixture of western and eastern Berlin. The district can not boast of any special attractions, but here are the most fun parties in the city. The best nightclubs, noisy student parties, the spirit of subcultural Berlin are all Friedrichshain. Since the 1960s, originals from all over the country have settled here — from hippies to ravers, so the number of inexpensive bars, designer shops, vintage second-hand shops, nightclubs and hostels here is just going off scale.
