At the entrance to the villa first there is a wide corridor that crosses the house and opens onto the terrace of the opposite end of the house. On the right there is a spacious bathroom with a bath, a shower and two sinks. Next is an open plan dining room and living room with an impressive traditional fireplace. Wide glass doors lead to a bright terrace overlooking the sea. Nearby is a traditional style kitchen with many closets and built-in electrical appliances. To the left of the hallway there is a stairway paved with tiles, leading to the basement of 57 m², where there is a bedroom, a storage room and a boiler room. Another staircase leads to the upper floor to three bright bedrooms and a large bathroom with a shower and two washbasins.


The house was completely renovated in 2010, equipped with floor heating, alarm system, solar water heating panel.

Location and nearby infrastructure

The villa is located in the large village of Kokkino Chorio in Apokoronas, a picturesque area of Crete between Khania and Rethymnon, mainly consisting of premium villas with panoramic sea views and very good resort infrastructure nearby.

The village is rich in various quality establishments: traditional taverns, cafes, a gourmet restaurant, a mini market, a supermarket. There is also a cultural club and a popular glass works of manual labor. About 2 km from the house there is a picturesque bay and a beach. At 3 km there is a sandy beach Almirida, equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers. Chania city −25 minutes by car, Chania airport — 40 minutes by car, Heraklion airport-1 hour and 45 minutes by car.

      • Can I get a mortgage abroad?

        It depends on the country. For example, German banks willingly offer mortgages to foreigners at 1.5-2 % per annum with LTV up to 70%. Spain offers less favourable terms: the minimum rate for foreigners is 2.5% per annum. The situation is different in Greece: although the law does not prohibit banks from issuing loans, in practice, Greek banks don’t issue loans to local nor foreign property buyers.       • How does the purchase procedure work?

        The purchase procedure depends on the country where you buy property. Generally, after choosing a property you need to sign a preliminary agreement with the seller and carry out a due diligence of the property by checking the relevant documents and the property's technical condition. After that, all parties sign the sales agreement and the notary registers the transaction. As a rule, the purchase registration costs amount to approximately 10% of the property price.

      • Can a residence permit be obtained by buying property?

        In some countries it is possible. Residence-for-property purchase programmes are known as Golden Visas programmes. Greece, Spain, Latvia, and Portugal offer the most popular Golden Visas in Europe. The Greek residence permit is the cheapest and can be obtained by buying a property worth at least €250,000, while organising all of the documents costs about €19,000. Certain countries offer citizenship to property buyers — for example, an investor can get their hands on a Cypriot passport by buying a property worth at least €2M.

      • How does Tranio make money if your service is free for the clients?

      • Who guarantees the transaction security?
