The city of Kerkira is the capital of the island of Corfu and one of the most unusual and interesting Greek cities. In Kerkira there are many large squares and narrow streets, alleys in the Venetian style with ancient stone fountains.
The largest number of historical and architectural monuments of the island is concentrated here. The city has several museums: the Archaeological, Byzantine paintings, the Museum of Asian art and the Museum of the first Greek president — I. Kapodistrias, as well as other attractions.
