This is a detached villa on private land, original a part of a complex of seven villas built in the same area this is the largest and best villa. The villa has its own private parking for one car and several parking spaces for guests on the private driveway leading to the villa complex. From the parking area we enter into the main house on the middle level which comprises a living room and a kitchen. There is a good sized balcony on this level. On the upper floor there is the main bedroom with en-suite shower room. This room enjoys great views. On the lower level there are another two bedroom and a bathroom. Externally there is an infinity pool with a covered pool terrace and a garden. Elounda Elounda was a small fishing town on the Mirabello Bay, on the island of Crete. Although fishing is still a large part of life in this very picturesque area, tourism has taken over as the main industry of Elounda. It is part of the municipality Agios Nikolaos. It is popular with European tourists and has many hotels including several 5*hotels. Elounda is also the closest major town to the former leper colony of Spinalonga. The town is a 10 minute drive to Agios Nikolaos and the village of Plaka (Lasithi). Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the county Lasithi and is located at the Mirabello Bay, north-east Crete, only 40mins away from the international airport of Heraklion. Geographically the town is well protected from strong winds allowing sea sports and swimming nearly all year round. The microclimate is one of the best in Greece and the moderate temperatures rarely exceed 30c in summer or fall below 15c in wintertime. This wonderful dry climate together with the natural beauty of the area has attracted most of the high class hotels of Greece to operate here.

      • Can I get a mortgage abroad?

        It depends on the country. For example, German banks willingly offer mortgages to foreigners at 1.5-2 % per annum with LTV up to 70%. Spain offers less favourable terms: the minimum rate for foreigners is 2.5% per annum. The situation is different in Greece: although the law does not prohibit banks from issuing loans, in practice, Greek banks don’t issue loans to local nor foreign property buyers.       • How does the purchase procedure work?

        The purchase procedure depends on the country where you buy property. Generally, after choosing a property you need to sign a preliminary agreement with the seller and carry out a due diligence of the property by checking the relevant documents and the property's technical condition. After that, all parties sign the sales agreement and the notary registers the transaction. As a rule, the purchase registration costs amount to approximately 10% of the property price.

      • Can a residence permit be obtained by buying property?

        In some countries it is possible. Residence-for-property purchase programmes are known as Golden Visas programmes. Greece, Spain, Latvia, and Portugal offer the most popular Golden Visas in Europe. The Greek residence permit is the cheapest and can be obtained by buying a property worth at least €250,000, while organising all of the documents costs about €19,000. Certain countries offer citizenship to property buyers — for example, an investor can get their hands on a Cypriot passport by buying a property worth at least €2M.

      • How does Tranio make money if your service is free for the clients?

      • Who guarantees the transaction security?

        The transaction security is guaranteed by the notary who draws up the sales agreement and checks the information on the previous and current owners of the property, any outstanding restrictions, mortgage, and third-party encumbrances.
