This large country house is set in its own landscaped gardens. Built in 1984 in a distinctive Mediterranean style, it is divided into 2 independent apartments.
Ideal for use as a B & B but would also make a fine family home.
The layout is as follows:
Ground floor: large kitchen (with working fireplace)and living area, 2 double bedrooms and bathroom. A nice feature is the covered terrace which has stone columns and arches and opens onto the garden.
First floor: a similar layout with a kitchen and living area, 2 double bedrooms and bathroom. At first floor level the terrace has the most beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, framed by the arches and columns that support the roof.
The 2 floors communicate via an internal staircase.
Facilities and equipment
The flooring is ceramic throughout.
It comes with 30 olive trees and 4,800 m² of agricultural land with some outbuildings.
The property is located 2 km outside the small city of Penne which is the centre of a commune with a population of around 12,000.
Penne has a lovely historic centre that climbs up to the Duomo at the highest point, and all the facilities a lively town can provide; a weekly market, restaurants, shops, hospital and schools.
Pescara with the international airport is 30 kilometres and the beaches of the Adriatic about the same distance. Penne has its own lake and bird sanctuary and is one of the main gateways to the Gran Sasso national park with its impressive Apennine peaks.
