The island of Capri: Luxuriant, extraordinary, with a mild climate. Of calcareous origin, Capri is the Mediterranean island that, over the years, has been visited by intellectuals, artists and writers, all of whom were enthralled by its magical beauty. The coast is dotted with numerous caves and creeks that alternate with steep cliffs. The most famous of them all is the Grotta Azzurra or Blue Grotto, whose magical light effects have been described by many writers and poets. The famous Faraglioni are another characteristic feature of Capri: three small rocky islands near the shore that create a striking scenic effect. The main towns on the island are Capri, Marina Grande and Marina Piccola, which is on the other side of the island, and Anacapri. Position of the villa: The villa is located between the town of Capri and Marina Grande, and overlooks the whole Gulf of Naples. It is on the road that links Marina Grande di Capri to the center of town. Its strategic position makes it possible to walk to all the public services the island has to offer: bus, funicular railway, restaurants. It is also possible to reach the beach of Marina Grande along a beautiful 1 Km footpath. The Villa A typical 19th century villa which has been used as a holiday home for generations. The large terraces and reception rooms indicate how the property was used for social events by the people who, in the past, used the villa to entertain their family and friends during the summer holidays on the island. The villa still contains family memories that testify to a passion for painting. The large terraces, which offer stunning panoramic views of the coast, are the villa’s strongest feature. Leisure time On request it is possible to organize guided tours of the island by land or by sea. The island has many places of historic and natural interest: Mount Solaro, Villa San Michele, the Arco Naturale — Natural Arch, the Blue Grotto, Villa Iovis and the Villa of Tiberius. These are just some ideas of how to divide your time between the seaside and the island’s many attractions.
