This farmhouse is positioned in one of the most scenic locations in region Marche, surrounded by rolling hills and olive groves. Completely rebuilt from scratch in 2002 to make it a holiday residence. The farmhouse is surrounded by a mature garden of 4000 m² with 90 olive trees, which produce – according to the season – around 200 kg of organic olive oil. Ground floor is characterised by a number of French-windows, which allow to move easily from each room out to the garden. The living area features two big and bright rooms, connected via 3 squared arches, that mirror 3 small windows. Three steps lead up to a corridor, which connects to the 3 double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom. On the same floor there are also a guest bathroom, as well as a useful laundry room.

First floor is completely independent, used as the private area for the owners. Here a Boffi, fully equipped kitchen is set and the dining/relaxing area overlooks the marchigiano rolling hills. On the two opposite sides of the living area, you can find 4 bedrooms, two of which with a mezzanine, which can lodge additional beds, there are 2 bathrooms.

Being rebuilt from scratch, this house gives the privilege of living inside an old, traditional shell with all modern comforts: as a matter of facts, the house was rebuilt over 30 poles, thus making it super solid, especially against earthquakes. The foundations are ventilated, to avoid damp problems; the roof is insulated, thus keeping a constant temperature in the house. Last but not least, a 3kW photovoltaic system provides clean energy to the house

Location and nearby infrastructure

The location of this farmhouse, although not on the top of a hill, the valley opens completely in front of the house, revealing the gentle multicolour hills typical of region Marche: as a matter of facts, according to the season and the type of cultivation, the colours here change continuously. The other great advantage is that, despite being immersed in the gentle and immaculate Marche countryside, in just 10 minutes you can reach Jesi, which is one of the largest towns in the province of Ancona, where you can find all kinds of services, as well as delicious restaurants. Jesi is popular for being the birthplace of Frederick II of Swabia, with a strong cultural connotation (there are many museums and events in town) and for its strategic position halfway between the sea and the mountains.

      • Can I get a mortgage abroad?

        It depends on the country. For example, German banks willingly offer mortgages to foreigners at 1.5-2 % per annum with LTV up to 70%. Spain offers less favourable terms: the minimum rate for foreigners is 2.5% per annum. The situation is different in Greece: although the law does not prohibit banks from issuing loans, in practice, Greek banks don’t issue loans to local nor foreign property buyers.       • How does the purchase procedure work?

        The purchase procedure depends on the country where you buy property. Generally, after choosing a property you need to sign a preliminary agreement with the seller and carry out a due diligence of the property by checking the relevant documents and the property's technical condition. After that, all parties sign the sales agreement and the notary registers the transaction. As a rule, the purchase registration costs amount to approximately 10% of the property price.

      • Can a residence permit be obtained by buying property?

        In some countries it is possible. Residence-for-property purchase programmes are known as Golden Visas programmes. Greece, Spain, Latvia, and Portugal offer the most popular Golden Visas in Europe. The Greek residence permit is the cheapest and can be obtained by buying a property worth at least €250,000, while organising all of the documents costs about €19,000. Certain countries offer citizenship to property buyers — for example, an investor can get their hands on a Cypriot passport by buying a property worth at least €2M.
