”Chocolate“ — multi-storey inhabited and office building in Riga at the Hospitalu street 23. There was a word at first. As the author of the project admits, the word has gradually developed into one big chocolate idea. Here you can find such an unusual architectural solution as a big, several storey high window cube of dark toned glass, almost without joints. It serves like a precious facet of the building, as a mirror, in which neighbouring houses and trees are reflected, being puzzled by this miracle. The part of the building front that lacks windows also astonishes with an untypical detail of design – shutters. They fly open like eyelashes that give an additional fascination to its brown eyes. And when dwellers go to bed, the house behaves unusually again – because of a special front lighting, it as if hovers in the air. To hover while asleep is a good sign.
