An ancient authentic seaside house in the village of Zabrdzhe on the Lustica peninsula was erected in the middle of the 17th century during the Venetian rule in Montenegro, in preserved sources it is mentioned as a country house in the chronicles dating from the period around 1645.
The foundation of the house and its basic structure has remained unchanged since then; two peasant families lived in it. The living quarters were located on the upper floor, and the lower one was used to store olives and other subsistence products. Next to the house there was an extension for horses and cows. The 1979 earthquake badly damaged the roof of the house, but the walls and the foundation weathered.
The house was purchased in 2005 and completely restored by new owners with the involvement of an architect specializing in the restoration of historic buildings. All renovation works were carried out using authentic materials and respecting the old style in combination with modern technologies enabling comfortable living.
The house is located on a plot of 270 m² and has 72 m² at the base. In front of the house there is a swimming pool with lighting, a terrace with a large dining table, on the adjacent plot of parking space. From the upper floors there is a fantastic view of the Bay of Kotor.
