This is a new domaine but already a riot of colour greets you in the beautifully manicured gardens offering an oasis in a remote landscape; miles of deserted sandy beach, the vast Atlantic sea stretching to the horizon, and mountains providing the backdrop. But you'll find everything you need at the seaside village of Aglou Plage just three miles away by car; it is possible to walk along the beach but this will take about 40 minutes. There is a lovely promenade with a few beachside restaurants, as well as a grocery store selling fresh bread. Just outside the village, local fishermen sell their fresh-caught fish, squid, crab and lobster at the fish market.
A car is a must so you can venture further afield; head inland to the traditional walled town of Tiznit, which is steeped in Moroccan history and culture. Here you will find more restaurants, banks, shops and colourful souks selling all manner of fresh produce and leather goods, with a labyrinth of silver jewellery shops at the centre. A pleasant 25 minute drive south along the coast brings you to Mirleft where you'll find a market each Monday as well as French and ethnic restaurants: in the Old Fort there is a wonderful Moroccan restaurant with lovely views.
Sports enthusiasts have plenty of choice, with quad biking, deep sea fishing, surfing, hang-gliding, paragliding, 4x4 adventures and horse-riding all available in the area.
Please note: this villa is not in Agadir but 57 miles south (1.5 hours' drive) near Tiznit and Mirleft.
