Acantilados de Los Gigantes is an attractive tourist town with the famous steep cliffs 600–800 meters high, which go deep into the Atlantic Ocean. Often people come here for a one-day excursion, because there are not many attractions in this place, and one day will be enough to enjoy the sunset by the impressive landscape and take a picture of it. For those who stay longer, the opportunity to fish is provided as entertainment.
Locals of Los Gigantes organize excellent boat trips, during which you can better see not only the rocks, but also the whales, which often delight travelers with their “fountains”.
Excursions of this kind begin at the yacht port, where you can sit in a bar or restaurant before a sea excursion. Playa de los Gigantes beach is located not far from this harbor, and it attracts tourists not by the prospect of lying on the black volcanic sand, but by the opportunity to visit the establishments located there, which serve Canary specialties.
