Teide National Park is currently the world's ninth most visited and most visited park in Europe.
On January 22, 1954, it was declared a National Park in recognition of its volcanic and biological uniqueness.
In 2007, the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the category “Natural wealth” assigned to it. From the same year, it is considered one of the 12 treasures of Spain.
