Bodrum resort is located on the coast of the Aegean Sea, in the center of the peninsula in southeastern Turkey. The climate of Bodrum is somewhat milder than in other resorts in Turkey, the humidity is less, making the heat easier to tolerate. Opposite the Gokova Bay, where Bodrum is located, is the Greek island of Kos, where ferries regularly depart.

The city is built in the same style, snow-white buildings no higher than three floors descend along the slopes to the sea. The beaches in Bodrum are mostly private, small, pebble or platform beaches.

Bodrum is known as the center of nightlife, in addition to numerous bars and restaurants in the eastern part of the city is the famous ”Halicarnassus“ — one of the largest dance halls in the world.

In Bodrum, there are plenty of historical sights, such as St. Peter's Castle, which houses a museum of underwater archeology with unique exhibits, the Tsar Mausoleum's mausoleum — the oldest monument in Bodrum, or the Bodrum amphitheater — a building of the 4th century BC. in which festivals and concerts are sometimes held now.

      • Can I get a mortgage abroad?

        It depends on the country. For example, German banks willingly offer mortgages to foreigners at 1.5-2 % per annum with LTV up to 70%. Spain offers less favourable terms: the minimum rate for foreigners is 2.5% per annum. The situation is different in Greece: although the law does not prohibit banks from issuing loans, in practice, Greek banks don’t issue loans to local nor foreign property buyers.
