The villa consists of a historic tower, built at the end of the XIII century and later buildings.
The famous opera composer Sam Benelli was the owner of the villa and lived there for a long time — it was in this house that his most famous works were created. The villa was bought by the current owners in the early 1950s, during which time one of the most beautiful and unique botanical gardens in the Cinque Terre was created on its territory.
