From 2026, an intermediate tax rate of 25% will replace the current rate of 35% for rental income ranging from 12,000 to 24,000 euros per year. The current rates are as follows:

  • income up to €12,000 — 15%;
  • from €12,000 to €35,000 — 35%;
  • over €35,000 — 45%.

Next year, some property owners will pay less tax on rental income. This measure is part of a large-scale tax reform aimed at supporting the middle classes and stimulating investment.
