Henley & Partners: new ratings of programmes for investment migration

Henley & Partners has prepared annual ratings of citizenship-for-investment and residency-for-investment programmes. Independent experts and investors have analysed 40 different investment schemes using various criteria. For each factor, experts give countries a score (from 0 to 10), after which the results are summarised.

Factors considered for the programme reviews included reputation, quality of life, visa-free entry, application review time and quality of information processing, compliance, investment and residency requirements, as well as relocation possibilities, necessity to visit a country, and transparency of procedures.

European programmes lead both rankings: Malta is the best one of citizenship for investment and Portugal is the best one of residence permits for investment. It is noteworthy that Austria takes the second place in both rankings. Third place in the rating of citizenship for investment is taken by Grenada. Greece ranks third in the rating of residence permits for investment.
