Koh Samui is a unique place that has preserved its natural authenticity due to its geographical isolation from mainland Thailand. Located in the Gulf of Thailand, the island has a different rainy season, allowing visitors to enjoy pleasant weather during the summer months. Koh Samui is a combination of untouched tropical forests, blue beaches, and a well-developed residential infrastructure for tourism and permanent living.

The island covers an area of only about 230 square kilometres, with a permanent population of 68,000 people. It has an international airport with regular flights to mainland Thailand, as well as to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Guangzhou. The administrative centre and capital of Koh Samui is the town of Nathon, located on the western part of the island. Koh Samui’s postal code is 84330.

Interiors and exteriors

The majority of five-star hotels on Koh Samui are integrated into the island’s natural landscape. Apartment complexes do not exceed 2–3 floors, and most units are designed as individual bungalows made from natural materials, built to high-tech standards. Each complex has one or more infinity pools, offering panoramic views of the ocean and palm groves. The complexes are designed to ensure minimal interaction between guests, creating a sense of harmony and balance with nature. Interiors are made from natural materials in muted, earthy tones.

Dining

All hotels serve breakfast buffet-style, and throughout the day, guests can enjoy fruit and refreshing drinks at poolside bars. Lunch and dinner feature Thai and European cuisine, as well as grilled dishes and seafood.

Spa

Each complex has massage parlours and spa facilities, offering a wide range of relaxation and rejuvenation programmes for the whole family. A fitness centre is also available for guests.
