According to major Greek news portal Kathimerini, the city recorded its highest ever tourist arrivals.

Athens has become Greece’s top tourist destination this year. The number of international arrivals has already surpassed that of 2019, when a record high was recorded. Thousands of tourists have filled the streets of Athens and the beaches of Attica, making the capital a popular destination. This has been caused by direct access to the coastline with well-developed infrastructure.
