Demand for property in Spain by foreign nationals reached record levels
According to the data of Land Registry in Spain, foreign demand for real estate in Spain has reached a record high level in the third quarter of 2022. In the third quarter of 2022, foreign investors bought 61% more properties in Spain than did they a year ago. The amount of non-citizen purchases totaled at 26,728 deals.The share of foreign investors reached a new peak in the third quarter of this year, rising to nearly 16%.
Bernie Walker, managing director of real estate portal thinkSPAIN, reports that interest from foreign nationals has been outstanding this year. In the first half of this year, experts have also noticed incredibly high numbers of requests outside of Spain.
The greatest number of property purchases in Spain in the third quarter of 2022 were made by the British buyers, which is 2,486. They are followed by the Germans and the French (2149 and 1660 purchases, respectively).
