Henley & Partners reveals top 9 attractive countries where wealthy people aspire to move

According to Henley & Partners’ latest report, 88,000 high net worth individuals will move to different countries during 2022. The Visual Capitalist’s infographic shows the migration of people with a net worth of more than $1 million.
Here are the top 9 countries by millionaires influx:
- UAE
- Australia
- Singapore
- Israel
- USA
- Portugal
- Greece
- Canada
- New Zealand
The United Arab Emirates ranks first in the list. By the end of 2022, 4,000 wealthy migrants are expected to move into the country due to a favourable immigration policy aimed to attract wealthy individuals, entrepreneurs and high skilled professionals.
Henley's methodology takes into account only those millionaires who stay in the country for more than six months. The following sources are used to research the migration of wealthy individuals:
- investment migration programs statistics;
- interviews with representatives of wealthy people: brokers and asset managers;
- tracking media mentions of expats;
- tracking big-budget real estate purchases by expats.
