The name «Laguna» not only refers to a specific area of the island but also represents a certain lifestyle. It originates from former tin quarries that have been transformed into picturesque lakes, some of which are connected to the sea, creating lagoons. Prestigious hotels are situated on the shores of these lakes.
There is also a world-class golf course, adjacent to several villages with villas and townhouses under different brands, such as Laguna, Angsana, Banyan Tree.
Laguna aims to be a self-sufficient ecosystem that prioritises privacy, comfort, and a high standard of living. The complex is meticulously maintained by a large staff, ensuring excellent road conditions and minimal traffic. This allows for easy cycling or strolling between the lakes.
The resort has its own bus service. Additionally, a free ferry service takes guests from the hotel to the beach or to the nearby shopping area.

The Boat Avenue complex offers a variety of dining options, including Spanish tapas bars, Italian trattorias, Russian restaurants, French bakeries, etc. The primary shopping destination is the Porto de Phuket complex, a separate project of the Central group, designed in a smart casual style that complements Laguna. There are also many beauty salons, stylish clothing boutiques and jewellery stores, although they are technically located outside of Laguna’s borders.
Who is Laguna for?
Laguna is designed for those seeking a European standard of living in Phuket, be they wealthy foreigners, Thai TV stars or Bangkok businessmen. The resort tries to maintain a club-like atmosphere, although the area is open to the public and the residents are not hiding behind the walls of their luxurious homes.
Many foreigners take advantage of this openness by renting villas or apartments adjacent to the complex, attracted by the lifestyle it offers.
Laguna Phuket hotels
Laguna is home to several iconic hotels in Phuket and Thailand, such as Dusit Thani, Banyan Tree, and Angsana. Guests are offered a choice between rooms or individual villas, which can be combined to form gated communities.
For instance, the Angsana brand offers both hotel complexes and luxury villas as individual accommodations. In recent years, Laguna has expanded with apartments, including several phases of the Cassia project and Laguna Skypark.

Property prices in Laguna Phuket
Property prices in Laguna are higher than the Phuket average. This is justified by the area’s premium positioning and efforts to maintain that status. The symbol of Laguna has long been villas under hotel brands, which continue to be built today. A new house with an area of about 420–480 sq. metres can cost between 2.5 and 6 million US dollars.
