Rents in Italy rose by 13% in the third quarter of 2023

In the third quarter of 2023, the average cost of long-term rentals of apartments and houses in Italy rose by 13.1% compared to the same period last year, according to the Spanish portal Idealista.
According to the study, the top ten most sought-after municipalities to find a house for rent are following: the municipalities of Forlì, Reggio Emilia, Padua, Vigevano, Brescia, Verona, Cesena, Rome, Prato, Bologna.
Forte dei Marmi is the most expensive municipality to rent and buy property in the third quarter. The average rental rate in this place is 5,899 euro per month.
Pietrasanta in the province of Lucca remained the second in terms of rental costs (average monthly payment of 3,402 euro), and Riccione was the third (2,795 euro per month).
The top 10 expensive municipalities to rent are Cervia (2,146 euro per month), Ostuni (2,031 euro per month), Fiumicino (neighbourhood of Rome) and Massa. Camaiore, Florence and Milan are also present on this list with a monthly rate of 1,532 euro.
