Spain: more houses sales and price increase

Spain is recovering from the pandemic, which has a positive effect on the property market. Except for Galicia, Navarra and La Rioja, housing prices rose in all autonomous communities of Spain.

According to the Spanish news portal Spanish News Today, home sales reached more than 34% year-over-year growth in January 2022. In addition, the number of new companies increased at the beginning of this year.

The number of house sales reached 47,503 units, and the average price per square meter increased by 6.8% in comparison with the last year, which is 1,599 euros at present.

The Notariat Statistical Information Centre reports that in January 2022 the creation of new companies increased by 0.9% to 7921 first-time enterprises compared to 2021.
