Turkey plans to raise the investment threshold for citizenship in 2024

According to one of Turkey’s major property news websites, the government has announced that they will raise the investment threshold for obtaining a passport to 600,000 US dollars in 2024.

However, in December the opportunity to enter the deal on the previous conditions still remains. An applicant can buy a property with a minimum amount of 400,000 dollars. The most important condition is to have time to get TAPU (proof of ownership certificate) and start applying for citizenship in December 2023. When buying property with a ready TAPU an applicant should complete the purchase procedure before 15-20 December.

In the past year, the Turkish government already raised the minimum investment requirements for the «Golden passport». The limit was set at 250,000 US dollars prior to June 2022.
