The Prague district of Nové Mesto has a long history, which the residents of the capital are proud of. Initially, it was a separate city, consisting of three main sectors, woven by a network of streets. Much later, in the XIX century, Nové Mesto became one of the central parts of Prague. The district is located in the administrative districts of Prague 1, 2 and 8.
Now Nové Mesto is an important historical district of Prague. In this district of the city there are three squares: Wenceslas (in the past equestrian market), Karlova (formerly the cattle market) and Hayow area (in the past the hay market). On the territory of Nové Mesto there is a large number of attractions.
