Lake Orta is a beautiful lake in the north of Italy in the Piemonte region, west of Lake Maggiore.
The city of Omegna is famous for its medieval bell tower, the Baroque church and Ponte Anti or the medieval bridge over the Strona River. Porta Romana — the only surviving medieval gate of Omegna.
From Omegna you can easily reach the motorway to Novara and Vercelli or to Lake Maggiore. On the east side you are in half an hour in Arona or Stresa or on the top of Mount Mottarone. Milan-Malpensa Airport can be reached within an hour.
