The four-storey castle has four towers and an inner court. The first north-east tower is almost twice as high as the main building and is decorated with a balcony and a terrace. Two other towers are as high as the roof. The fourth tower is low and adapted for a terrace. In the southern part of the palace there is a Neo-Gothic chapel connected with the castle by a balcony — it's an addition of the latest owner, the count Clemens Brandis. The chapel was blessed by the bishop Anton Martin Slomšek. Interior of the palace is also made in the Neo-Gothic style.
There is a heraldic panel with Colonic and Vagnov-Vagensberg families blazon of 1582.
The building is surrounded by a park, in the middle of which there is a stone statue of St. Janez Nepomuk in the Baroque style.

A marble staircase with balustrades decorated in the Neo-Gothic style leads to the upper floors from a vaulted entrance hall. There are several equipped rooms in the castle. The walls of the palatine room are fronted in the Neo-Gothic style, rich folding doors are installed. There are several highly decorated Neo-Gothic doors on the top floor. On the basement and ground floors Revival style vaulted ceilings have preserved.
