To the sea and the promenade about 10 minutes walk or 500 m. Nearby there is a school and an institute just 1 km away, to the old town of Kotor about 15 minutes walk.
Throughout the history of Kotor and the Bay of Kotor, the main occupation of local residents was navigation and overseas trade. Kotor has become one of the most important shopping centers in this part of the Adriatic coast. The city has many museums dedicated to maritime affairs.
Due to the unique mixture of different cultures, the old town of Kotor was inscribed in 1979 as a World Cultural Heritage under the patronage of UNESCO. Kotor is now one of the best preserved medieval towns on the Adriatic.
