Country house 338 m² in Martina Franca
- Total area338 m²
- Land area440,000 m²
A 17th century Masseria in the heart of the purest and most authentic Valle D'Itria with a total covered area of 338 m² in the countryside of Martina Franca, in the province of Taranto, Puglia.
The property, of 44 hectares, is mainly composed of arable land, pasture land and also includes a wooded area characteristic of the Salento Murge (or Murgia Tarantina).
The main body consists of the Masseria, an old two-storey rural building, surrounded by a complex of 8 conical trulli in perfect condition, 3 other sloping-roof buildings and 2 other partially ruined trulli.
In an excellent state of conservation, the trulli served in ancient times as cattle sheds, a typical activity of the area. Inside, in fact, in addition to the wonderful conical vaults, the ancient stone troughs and, in large sections, a prestigious paved floor made of local chamfered stone are perfectly preserved.

Masseria, in keeping with the tradition, is located in a prestigious panoramic position with respect to the rest of the area. Situated at the top of a hill, it affords a sweeping view of the surrounding countryside, among the clumps of olive groves and the chimneys of the many ancient trulli that dot the area.
The property is about 40 minutes from the Salento Airport in Brindisi.
Martina Franca is an elegant town nestled in the hills of the south-eastern Murgia, between the Ionian and Adriatic Seas. Thanks to its panoramic position, the city overlooks the enchanting Itria Valley, whose landscape is dotted with trulli, lamie and 'masserie'.
Itria Valley describes an area in the heart of Apulia, straddling the provinces of Taranto, Brindisi and Bari, characterised by a highly scenic rural area with expanses of olive groves, vineyards and Mediterranean scrub forests.
Itria Valley is identified, in particular, by the large presence of trulli and masserie, typical constructions that testify to the past and present of a fervent productive environment, and a splendid rural heritage in architectural terms. Moreover, its villages reflect the deepest and most authentic history of this area: from the trulli of Alberobello to the 'white city' of Ostuni; from the crystal-clear sea of Monopoli and Polignano to the karst caves of Castellana and the centuries-old history of Ceglie Messapica, Locorotondo and Cisternino.
