Petrovac is a resort on the Budva Riviera with a centuries-old history. It is known for sure that in the 3rd century there was a Roman settlement at this place, Lastva. In the Middle Ages, the city, already inhabited by the Slavs, was called Kastel Lastva — in honor of the fortress. And only in the 20th century the settlement received the name known today. The city was named in honor of Peter I Karageorgievich.
The beaches of Petrovac offer warm and clear water, pebbles, and a lot of sun. The two most famous beaches are Buljarica and Lucice. Buljarica has a length of 1.5 km, this is the longest stretch of coastline reserved for recreation. Tourists can enjoy relative privacy here.
