Petrovac is a resort on the Budva Riviera with a long history. It is known for certain that in the 3rd century there was a Roman settlement of Lastva on this area. In the Middle Ages, the city, already inhabited by the Slavs, was called Kastel Lastva — in honor of the fortress. And only in the XX century the settlement received the name known today. The city was named so in honor of Peter I Karageorgievich.
