We are welcomed by a large living room with crystal chandeliers, stucco walls, and elements such as doors and furniture made from fine woods custom-crafted by carpenters, as well as gilded moldings and unique pieces in the room. Through impressive double doors, we move into the second living room, which includes the dining area and revolves around a spacious inner courtyard with onyx floors, which can be illuminated; as well as a large custom-made mural covering the entire wall and a sculpture-fountain created by master glassblower Josep San Juan. This area leads to the kitchen, which also has windows overlooking the spectacular courtyard. The property has three spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, as well as a guest toilet. It also features a large office with custom-built bookshelves and classic columns inside. Three bright balconies overlooking the street and a second inner courtyard complete the property.
In the heart of the city, right in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, is this emblematic and historic building from 1920. Its history began at the end of the 19th century, when the Valencian bourgeoisie sought to bring the customs and architectural style of Italian cities to Valencia. Driven by this trend, the Marchioness of Campo Salinas and Countess of Ripalda, Mrs. María Josefa Paulín de la Peña, commissioned the architect Joaquín María Arnau Miramón in 1889 to build a space that would bear the name of the Countess herself: the Ripalda Passage. This passage was constructed as an architectural ensemble in a clear neoclassical style, astonishing the people of Valencia with the imposing arches of its entrances, which welcomed passersby into its interior decorated with harmonious lintels and corbels, all beneath skylights that filled the passage with light.
