      Can a foreigner buy property in Courchevel?
      Currently, there are no restrictions for foreigners buying property in France. However, if you decided, for example, to buy apartment in Courchevel directly from the owner, you may face encumbrances, difficulties in proper registration and an inflated cost (sometimes the price is twice the price that can be offered to a French citizen).
      How long does it take to buy a property in Courchevel?
      From the moment the pre-contract has been signed, it takes on average 2,5 months for the whole purchasing property in Courchevel process to be completed.
      Are there property taxes in France?

      Courchevel is located in the Three Valley ski destination of France. Property for sale in Courchevel comes with high prices and the area is one of the most expensive for winter resorts in the world. People buying chalets usually pay about €5M–10M while apartments can sell for up to €34,000 per square metre.


      The most popular altitude to buy properties in Courchevel is 1,850 metres. However the lower settlements of Courchevel Moriond, Courchevel Village, Courchevel Le Praz are also worthy investments. Anything for sale here is usually three to four times cheaper than in fashionable Courchevel 1850. Apartments further down the slope cost about €250,000 and a house about €1M.


      Buyers looking for real estate in Courchevel that have not settled on a particular location will find lots of interesting options around the resort. The nearby calm and lovely snow retreat of La Tania offers many routes for beginners. Other neighbouring areas include Méribel, Val Torrence, Saint Martin, Les Menuires and the Vanoise National Park.


      Property for sale in the upper settlement in Courchevel is the most profitable investment for the buy-to-let market. All the entertainment facilities, restaurants and shops are located here attracting tourists and investors. A chalet can be leased for €40,000–250,000 per week during the high season.
