Villas in Cyprus. Cyprus house prices

The mild climate and clean warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea have always attracted foreign buyers to villas in Cyprus. Not to mention that houses for sale in Cyprus over €300,000 make foreign citizens eligible for a ‘golden’ visa.

Homes and villas over 400–500 sq. m. are generally located in the suburbs and equipped with large land plots and private pools. Buying a villa in Cyprus costs about €340,000 and the most expensive listings are in the capital where the price can reach €400,000–450,000. Expensive real estate can be found in Limassol where properties sell for €2,000–3,000/sq. m. and €300,000–350,000 can buy a villa.

The cheapest location for real estate is Larnaca where the square metre sells for €1,200–1,500 and a villa costs about €220,000. Small resort towns are also popular with smaller budgets, like Paralimni where house prices start at €140,000.

Buyers seeking property steeped in history should head to Paphos, one of the oldest cities in Cyprus, where townhouses cost €100,000–120,000 and villas from €250,000.

Prices for houses and villas in the popular resort of Ayia Napa, also known as the Ibiza of Cyprus, start at €2,000–2,500/sq. m.
