The capital of France, like the Côte d'Azur, is one of the top real estate markets in the country. Apartments in Paris are popular with investors buying overseas real estate. Paris apartment prices are some of the highest in Europe. The most expensive flats are found in arrondissements 6 and 7 where they can sell for €13,000 per square metre. If you want to buy prime property, it costs €16,500–19,500/sq. m. and can reach €55,000/sq. m. Cheap Paris flats for sale are located in arrondissements 19 and 20 and rarely cost over €6,000/sq. m.

Investors should look for properties in districts 5, 6 and 8 while families with children will enjoy districts 4–9, 15 and 17. It is prestigious to live in districts 1–6 and the area around the Luxembourg Garden is great for larger budgets. Apartments in the capital of France were cheaper during the '08-‘09 financial crisis but the market recovered in 2010 and has been stable ever since.
