Villas in Croatia. Croatian house prices

Houses and villas in Croatia are profitable investments. Croatia is a popular tourist destination with great transport links to the EU that have boosted real estate sales.

Dalmatia is the most popular region to buy real estate in as the local government encourages foreign investments by developing yachting infrastructure and building numerous marinas. There are many cultural and historic landmarks in the country such as Dalmatia’s Diocletian's Palace in the city of Split.

Houses for sale in Croatia sell for about €2,000/sq. m. but prime property is much more expensive. Buying homes in the luxury resort of Bol near the renowned Zlatni Rat beach may cost upwards of €6,000/sq. m. However, smaller investments can still buy a property further from the beach.

Istria, the cleanest Croatian region, is also popular among overseas property buyers, but the climate is more humid and colder. Croatian villas just 70m from the sea cost about €3,000–4,000/sq. m. here.

Housing prices in Zagreb, the nation’s capital located in the heart of the country and just two hours by car from the sea, cost €1,500/sq. m.
