Expect to buy a land plot for €15,000 in land while a coastal plot can reach €50,000 and a house for sale €130,000. The price of a small villa averages on €150,000–200,000 and furnished and equipped country homes with large land plots near lakes costs €350,000–500,000.
The price of houses in Finland varies depending on the location and ranges from €3,000 to €4,000 per square meter in Helsinki. Outside the capital, property in Finland is moderately priced at €1,500–2,500 per square meter while prime properties sell for about €6,000/sq. m. in Helsinki and €4,000/sq. m. across the country.
Buying a plot of land and building a house, even based on a custom project, costs about 15–20% less than purchasing the same area of land with a house.
