Costa Brava is one of the most picturesque and expensive coasts in Spain. Villas in Costa Brava sell for 2,000 €/sq. m. on average. Prices for homes on the Costa Brava go down as you get further away from Barcelona. The towns of Blanes, Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar in the Selva region are popular with tourists and people who want to buy holiday homes. Begur, Pals, Tamariu and Llafranc, Baix Empordà, are also popular coastal resorts with lush nature and everything for sports and leisure.

The most expensive houses for sale in Costa Brava are in Playa de Oro, a paradise for shopping and yachting. A square metre here costs about €2,500 and you can find a two-bedroom house in Costa Brava for sale at €180,000–200,000 while a three-bedroom house would be priced at €300,000. A four- or five-bedroom villa would cost €550,000–850,000. Buying a home in Costa Brava near the French border is often good value for money.

      Can foreigners buy houses in Costa Brava?
      Yes. There are no restrictions on buying property in Spain, whether it's commercial, residential or land. In fact, Spain encourages investment by foreigners, both resident and non-resident. You will require a financial number which can acquire by visiting a police station with your passport.
      How do I buy a house in Costa Brava?
      The process of buying a property in Spain usually runs as follows. First, the buyer makes an offer, usually through the seller's real estate agent. If this is accepted, then the buyer and seller sign a preliminary contract (contrato privado de compravento) and the buyer pays a deposit, typically 10% of the purchase price. Then the agent helps to organise property check and if there're no burdens or restrictions, a final sales contract is prepared.
